Support the Trust

Teaching, camps, festivals and a campus that is still going up — all of it carried by music lovers, vaidics and well-wishers.

Why it matters

What your support pays for

BSNUS Sangeetha Prathishtanam teaches Carnatic music at four centres, keeps a Vaidic-Thanthric Vidyapeetam for Veda, Thanthra, Jyothishyam and Sanskrit, and runs its concerts, camps and festivals from the Narayaneeyam Music Campus at Ballapadavu.

The first stage of the project is complete: a ground floor holding the office, a guest room, the rehearsal hall, the library and instrument room, an open stage and a kitchen.

More space and facilities are still needed — especially to conduct the Vaidic-Thanthric classes and to offer proper hospitality to the music lovers who visit and stay during camps and festivals. The estimated cost, including liabilities, is about ₹50 lakh.

  1. Teaching at four centres

Regular vocal, mridangam and violin classes at Ballapadavu, Perla, Mangalore and Madhur, and the Vaidic-Thanthric classes at the campus.

  2. Concerts, camps and festivals

Nadopasana and Rasikapriya each month, the Ganamadhuryam and Muraleeravam camps, and the annual festival of Veda, music and yoga.

  3. The building still to come

Space for the Vaidic-Thanthric classes, and proper hospitality for the music lovers who visit and stay during camps and festivals.

Ways to give

How to support the Prathishtanam

Two honest paths: a direct transfer to either of the trust’s accounts, or a word with the office about what is needed most at the moment.

What contributions go towards

As reported by the trust: the ground floor of the Narayaneeyam Music Campus at Ballapadavu is complete and in daily use, and the work above it has still to be done. The figures below are the trust’s own stated position, quoted as it published them.

  • ₹10 lakh

Given so far by music lovers, well-wishers and students

Support in kind

Not every contribution is money. The campus runs a library, an instrument room and a building that is still going up, and help with any of them is welcome.

  • Books and recordings

The campus library keeps classical-music books alongside audio and video sources.

  • Instruments

The instrument room holds thambura, mridangam and violin for use during classes and camps.

  • Help with the building

Materials, labour or professional help towards the floors still to be built.

  • Contributions can be credited directly to the accounts of BSNUS Sangeetha Prathishtanam (R.) at Canara Bank, Badiadka, Perdala, or at Kerala Gramin Bank, Jayanagara — the full account numbers and IFSC codes are on the Donate page — and you can also donate online by netbanking or by credit or debit card. In-kind support is welcomed as warmly as money.

  • Yes. The Prathishtanam has the benefit of income tax exemption for donations under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Your financial support will be accepted with gratitude.

  • The first stage of the campus is complete — a ground floor containing the office, a guest room, a rehearsal hall, a library and instrument room, an open stage and a kitchen — at a construction cost of about ₹25 lakh, of which about ₹10 lakh has so far been contributed by music lovers, well-wishers and students of the institution. The building still needs more space and facilities, especially to conduct the Vaidic-Thanthric classes and to offer proper hospitality to the music lovers who visit and stay during the camps and festivals. The estimated cost of completing it, including liabilities, is about ₹50 lakh.
