The trust's own home for music: land given by a well-wisher, a foundation stone laid in 2009, a building opened in 2010, and the halls, kitchen, library and mantapam that stand on it now.
The land and the building
A panoramic site, aptly named ‘Narayaneeyam’
BSNUS Sangeetha Prathishtanam has built its own campus for music on about 1.38 acres of land donated by Sri Ballapadavu Shankaranarayana Upadhyaya. The landscape of the site is panoramic and well suited to a music campus, and it has been aptly named ‘Narayaneeyam’.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was performed with blessings by His Holiness Sri Sri Keshavananda Bharathi Swamiji of Sri Edneer Mutt on 6 May 2009, and the building was inaugurated in the year 2010 by H.H. Sri Prince Rama Varma.

1.38 acres of donated land
The site at Ballapadavu, P.O. Kumbdaje, Kasaragod District, Kerala was donated to the trust by Sri Ballapadavu Shankaranarayana Upadhyaya.

Inside the campus
The rooms, and what the trust calls them
Thrishakthi for the hall, Navaneetham for the kitchen, Lavangi for the sound and recording system, and ‘Ashwathi’ for the mantapam in front — modelled on the Kudiramaliga of Thiruvananthapuram built by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal.
Navaneetham
Kitchen
A well-equipped kitchen for cooking for guests and for the participants of camps and festivals.
Guest room
A good guest room with air-conditioning, where visiting artists and special invitees can have a pleasant stay.
Instrument room
Furnished with musical instruments including thambura, mridangam and violin.
Library
A library holding a number of books on classical music together with audio and video sources of music.
Office room
The working office of the Prathishtanam on the campus.
Lavangi
Sound and recording system
Narayaneeyam has its own sound system and audio recording system of superior quality.
The ‘Ashwathi’ mantapam
The mantapam standing in front of the building resembles the ‘Kudiramaliga’ of Thiruvananthapuram, built by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal.

Where the construction stands
The first stage is built and in daily use. What follows are the figures the trust states in its own appeal — a record of what the building has cost and what remains, not a live fundraising total.

The first stage of the project is complete: a ground floor holding the office, a guest room, the rehearsal hall, the library and instrument room, an open stage and a kitchen.
The construction cost of this stage came to about ₹25 lakh, of which about ₹10 lakh has so far been contributed by music lovers, well-wishers and students of the institution.
More space and facilities are still needed — especially to conduct the Vaidic-Thanthric classes and to offer proper hospitality to the music lovers who visit and stay during camps and festivals. The estimated cost, including liabilities, is about ₹50 lakh.

The ground floor at Ballapadavu is built and in daily use — classes, camps, the library and the open stage are all there. Contributions go towards finishing the rest of the building.
